Adventure games (also known as "quests") are player-created games that usually consist of multiple rooms with related settings where players have to explore environments, make decisions, solve puzzles, and/or fight enemies.

Adventure games are closely related to #RecRoomOriginal Quests; therefore, a common room tag for them is #quest; other common tags are #puzzle and #story. While adventure games let players create their own "story" within the boundaries of the game, Interactive Stories tend to tell an often linear story with no or less challenging gameplay. Compared to Escape Rooms, adventure games put more emphasis on settings and action elements and less emphasis on puzzles. Many adventure games in Rec Room are inspired by popular fictional universes; thus, they also qualify as fanart.
